The Center for Infrastructure and Constructed Facilities focuses on civil infrastructure systems and construction type applications. Interdisciplinary areas of research involving computer science, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering include:

• infrastructure safety and security
• intermodal transportation network security
• hurricane resistant infrastructure
• fiber reinforced polymer composites for bridges
• artificial intelligence applications
• smart materials, and
• structures.
