Hazing Prevention 101
In efforts to better educate our community and potential new members regarding hazing, Florida Atlantic along with the other State University System schools adopted an online hazing prevention program. Hazing Prevention 101 is a 60-minute online program that will help you recognize, prevent and report hazing. The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is requiring all members in the community to complete the program. The program only has to be taken once during a student's FAU undergraduate career. Upon completion of the program, a certificate is provided that should be retained and kept on file with the chapter. The office will not require copies of these certificates as we will automatically receive confirmation of completion of the program.
Starting in Fall 2015, all potential new members will be required to pass the program prior to seeking entrance into any chapter. The office will have the ability to verify if a potential new member has completed and passed the course or not. If you have any questions regarding the program or having issues signing in to take the program, please email the office at fslife@alaogele.net and they will be able to assist you. We thank you all for helping keep FAU a safe environment for all our current members and future members. Always remember “Real Owls Don’t Haze!”
